I have seven or eight guys coming to Silver Lake for a couple of days of riding. Most of us are bringing our wives and children too. On Thursday and/or Friday, the guys will take a snort on the dunes. On Saturday, we have the big production, getting all the wives and kids to Lake Michigan to setup camp for the day.

Wondering if I'll see any other DS's out there this year. I'm the only one with the DS in my group. Here's our lineup:

1 - DS
1 - YFZ
2 - Raps
1 - KF700
1 - Scrammy
1 - 450R
1 - Z400

 

I have a few friends planning on going up the 16th tuesday - I am trying to get my schedule to allow it as well.
But I will see if thursday the 18th may fit us, and if so then I may see you there. We are 5 hours away, and will be leaving a couple hours before dawn to have a full day of riding, then chug some RedBull for a drive home in the dark!

 

Anyone else planning on duning on the 19th or 20th?

HighTower: If you're there on the 18th, let me know, I'll try to get out for a quick ride while the family is hanging out.

 

Well, some of my buddies are going on the 18th afterall, so they will be there on Aug. 18th, but I cannot go because my wife is expecting our first kid and it looks like he's gonna have to come early due to some issues and I have to stay home because the littletower could show up any day now. All this came about in the past week, I was looking forward to hooking up but now I have to stay home and bite my nails waiting and wondering.
One of my other buddies had to cancel because he broke his wrist at Badlands last weekend riding.

Of the buddies I speak of there will be two red 450R's and a Banshee, and maybe a 4th guy on a green Kawi.

Being a father is very rewarding. Yes, it's difficult at times, but very rewarding. I have three girls (9, 7 & 3) and love them to the end of this planet.

BigWaynester: I'll be the big guy on the 04X with a six pack rack. One of my friends will be on his YFZ. Currently we have 7 of us ready to play in the sand on Friday afternoon and Saturday. I'll keep my eyes out for the YFZ. Hope to catch-up and chat.</FONT>

 

Hey Oz, the YFZ has the number 7 on it. Keep a look out. I hope to get there Thursday so I can ride with my flatlander friends.

 

TheOz, it is always great meeting and riding with forum members, I should have stayed Saturday, ya never know about Michigan weather.

 

It was great to hook-up with a fellow forum member. You're pretty darn fast on that YFZ. I thought you may be a big guy like me with the forum ID <FONT face=Verdana size=1>"BigWaynester".</FONT> If schedules work out, you're welcome to join my group of riders for a trip to northern MI in early/mid October. If you enjoy trail riding, you would really like the Atlanta trail system. Next time we hook-up on the dunes, we'll have to get in more riding time. It was a pleasure to meet you.
