Hey I was thinkin bout gettin an EX 400. I don't ride with any of them so I don't know much about them. I was just wondering if they have reverse, and also how they would compare to my 350. Thanks a lot.

 

the new 05 and up 400ex quads have reverse but if you are going to buy one that new i would recomend a Z or KFX 400. they are better handling have better power and respond to mods a lot better than the 400ex. the ex is a big improvment over the 350 rappy tho. have you looked at a raptor 660 or 700??

 

yeah i'm not allowed to get a banshee or a rap, so i'm lookin into the 400s. There are not many for sale around here though, except for the 440 EX.

 

keep lookin and find a KFX or Z. i am kickin myself now for not waiting for a good deal on one.

400ex's are a great quad...great in the trails and have a good amount of power...they are a great quad and you can find them so cheap..also the motors are pretty much bulletproof....you'll see a difference in power from your raptor350...the new 2005 only have reverse...but like TheTurtle said if you plan on buying new than i go with the KFX/z400...they are a great quad...they have more power/better handling than the 400ex...and i guess you can say more up to date with the water cooling and all...dont get me wrong i love the 400ex but if your gonna buy new than you'd be stupid not to go with the KFX/z400...great all around quads...nothing bad to say at all...raptor 350's are pretty sick quads...why you want to get rid of it anyways...

Anyways, I own a jetted & piped '00 Lakota util/sport(w/ racks) & I love it, but I rode a buddy's z400 & MAN! What a difference-It handles like a dream, has reverse(GOTTA have it!), & the power was sick(I almost hit a tree), I think it's jetted & piped was all, but I'm sold!
I'd like to ride the
KFX, but nobody I know has one- Can any one tell me the diff between the Z & KFX?
