I have a 2000 4x4 prarie 300. 30mph is about all your gonna get out of that bike, unless your real patiant and have a long stretch of road then you will eventually hit 40. Yours should be a little faster than mine since it is 2x4 but 30 mph is about the highest speed it will acheive easily, anything after that is slow to get to.

Mine is rather slow too. It may hit 40, but will take a while and a long stretch to get there. Tough machine and lots of fun, but it's no speedster. But if it is revving high and not going, you may want to check or replace your belt. They do stretch and wear, and since you don't know the history of the machine, I'd bet a new belt will improve performance.

That's odd. I type in the word "tough", and it becomes hyperlinked to a Polaris ad. I didn't do it, and don't know how it happened. I have nothing against Polaris; I don't have one and they may be fine machines, but I didn't link to it on purpose. Strange!
