Default K & N air filter for 650 BruteForce

Just wondering if it is worth the money to invest in a K&N air filter for my new 650 Brute Force. Also is there much improved power and fuel consumption? ty

I have the K&N for my 650p and I always would have dust in the airbox, mine is the old design though(02)the 03 and up airbox`s are much better ,I have a uni now I like it better and it was under $20 bucks. As for power I`m not sure I put the dg3 and jet kit in at the same time as the filter.

If you go with the K/N be sure and run a bead of silicon selant around bottom edge of filter and install it in airbox. Once silicon dries no worries about dust. Been running mine for over 3 years and each time I remove it to clean it is squeaky clean under the filter. Jetting will be the key. Keep at it till you find the right combo of Jets, keeping in mind that the addition of an aftermarket filter, snorkel, and or pipes will make it lean & may have to rejet. Personally I'd do the Dyna, Blue/Orange Dalton Primary spring, and Progressive or elka front springs, and a set of ATRs (Radial tires) all the way round. You'll be SHOCKED /happy at/with the performance improvements.
