Default My first ride on the 700

Well I have had this thing since friday and today I finally got to take a spin. I had to work all weekend and the weather hasnt let me ride any. Before I even started I took the airbox lid off and pulled out the spark arrester. That opened it up quite a bit and also alot louder. Then I took off and the first thought was S---. Let me tell you this thing is fast and throttle response is the quickest thing I have ever been on. I just rode for just a little and I will tell you more about it when I ride again.

Tell me about it. I am so sick of hearing that a yfz is going to smoke a 700R. Its so pointless to compare them anyways they are made for two completely different types of riding.

Yamaha made just what I was looking for in the 700. If I was going to race and ride on a track most of the time I would have bought the 450. I love the power of this thing and hope to keep it for a long time. I would say that the 700 will be one of the top quads for a few years.

Has anyone else took the spark arrester out? Dang it sounds good with it out. That thing plugged it up big time. Also you can tell that the fuel mixture is just right .

thats true two different types of quads, that 700r will be interesting to see once you get some mods and ups on them... i want to see a mag or someone do a shootout on like a 660r, 700r, 05yfz and a 06yfz all four between each other,,, yfz has been evolved for years now so its very solid... in two weeks i will be meeting a friend of mine just got his 700r and we'll line them up and hopfully ill get my camcorder there to video tape and show ya the two side by side and how they compare as well speed on drags and jumps etc...

Lets for fun bring this up. LOL
from ATV Scene, they already tested 700.

" Yamaha claims that in a straight line the stock Raptor 700 is a bit faster then the stock YFZ. We cant wait to get both together to see for ourselves. "

But by protecting myself, I need to put this disclaimer : This statament by Yamaha is a not supported by me or any member of my family, we don't by any way want to **** owners of YFS's. LOL

Just kidding !!!! LOL
