OK I race alot of MX And supercross!!! I know supercross on a fourwheeler is kinda stupid but oh well !!! I want something thats great for the track responds to modds really well and had great suspention and that has a tone of power!!!!!! please help me my 250x even thought i have all that stuff done to it and i can jump the 80ft gaps and everything like that i just dont like it its getting kinda small for me!!! i am looking for any kinda bike yamaha or honda or suzuki or gas-gas or what the heck ever as long as it meats to my standards!!! i dont want to z400 or the 400ex b/c you half to do alot to them to make them track ready!!

You need to get either the yamaha yfz450 or honda 450r and consider the suzuki z450 coming in a few months.All these quads are race ready in stock condition and will be very competitive on the track.

 

The YFZ is expensive but a great bike ...... watch out for the 04' models and the oil plug prob though.

 

I really am looking at the yfz just b/c it is more of a track race bike and its more set up for MX! and there was 2 of them on the track last night they were piped jetted extended and everything except have the engine done they were fast as hell and they had a tone of tourqe!!

but what about the 450r doesnt it have a really tall first gear??? wouldnt that be good for the track not haveing to shift as much?? or not?? and whitch one is wider???


hows the suspention on both coming from the factory??

im looking for a used one of the 2 with the pipe and air filter with like 10 hours on it or something or should i go new??? one reason used is b/c it would be set up and still cheeper than a new one!

please let me know and i am extreamly looking at the 450z if it comes out next month i will give it like 6months or so just to see what kinda problems if any its having and how it compares to the yfz and the r!!! if its better i will get one of those!!!! and is the darn thing dont cost me an arm and a leg!! i think its going to cost more than the raaptor 700r thats like 9000 bucks i will buy it if it cost that but i will pay payments!

 

the z450 will be the best of all of them. id get that if u have the money

 

wait, dont rush it, pick the quad that suits you best. Make sure you test ride them all, or at least whatever you buy.

 

raptor is 6,999. And thats msrp, so they can come off that price.

 

NO WAY about the raptor i dont like them at all not good for MX racing

im looking more towards the canondale 440 how are they???

i really like them heard there good for MX and they are tourqey and fast and if they have all the upgrades there pretty reliable

what do yall think about that?

 

if you can find one cheap id go with it...

 

if you've had your 250 for a long time that means you like honda and you'll love the 450r trx. suspension is great and motor is strong. goes fast too. but if your a racer no matter what quad you decide on your going to replace alot of the stock stuff anyways. like suspension and all the bolt on stuff.
