I want to put some more stuff on my raptor but don't want to spend a boat load of money. I was thinking full exhaust and K&N. I know HMF is a good brand for being under 350 but what other options do I have. And also do those brands have quiet cores or something of that sort?

MIke.

Get a full HMF exhaust *definatly full* , grab a Pro-Design Intake kit, either a K&N or foam type filter. this kit allows you to remove your airbox lid for more power, and has a MUCH better design to block dirt out of your engine. also, grab a GYT-R or dynojet Jet Kit to take advantage of your new airflow. after these mods watch out you got a whole new animal. Good luck!

Thats what I think I will do, but are there any other brands out there for the same price range?

The biggest difference youll see is getting a full exhaust with a good air filter and a jet kit. Thats the best mods you can do. Make sure and get a jet kit with that pipe it really helps out!

The yoshimura comp full system is around 400 dollars, from what I've heard it's a great system.

You won't find much for $350, but jump up to $450 and you can get yourself a Yoshi, spend alittle extra and get the Tec endcap kit, gives you three different options for db levels.

You may not here to many people talk about the Big Gun complete exhaust system, but it is pretty much bullit proof with decent gains and it's not extremely loud. Mike Young knows what he's doing and you should check out the web-site and ask questions. I got mine after talking with them. it's a quality peice that fits the first time with no mods. just my 2 cents!

Does the new evo x Big Gun exhaust have the same performance as the earlier models, or is there a difference? How loud are the new ones?

Don't waste your money on a jet kit...just go to the dealer and buy the jets you need...You will save a munch of bunny.you'll probably go up from a 140/145 to a 155/160 or so....3 bucks a piece...A jet kit will run you about 70 bucks and all you get is a bunch of jets you will never use and a couple of needles that don't make a poo poo of a difference.
