Default Raptor- HMF or Yoshi

It seems these are the best 2 options I have found under or around my price range for full exhausts. (yoshi comp series)

Could you guys tell me the ups and downs of each system and how they compare, also where on the powerband do they give you power. And overall which pipe is better

I know you can get a quiet core for the HMF, can you do the same for the yoshi?

The Yoshi is a very good system but is more money. I just have a HMF slip-on and I love the power increase. It has a very good sound (powerful loud) but is alot quieter with the combination quiet core/spark arrestor. Yes the Yoshi offers a quiet core system.

To me it came down to price, and my riding friends all have HMF and/or are sponcered by them.

I have a yoshi comp. serires and its extremely loud, i doubt it meets the 95db requirement. As far as power it seemed to add a little mid range, and more top-end than anything. I didnt notice much low-end. All this is partially due to restriction, since there is none, im sure if you put the quit core(w/e its called) in you would build more low end torque and lose topend.
just my .02 hope it helps

My Yoshi full comp system is 3 yrs old, never repacked it, have had it db checked 3 times, two 99's, one 98, no problem at all with the pipe itself, the tec option will quiet it down to 94 db, I have great power from bottom to top, alittle more money but you get what you pay for.

I have the Yoshi comp full system and love it. It is loud but not obnoxious. I can feel the power from top to bottom. It was easy to install and there jetting reccommendation were right on with my airbox mods, as far as price I found my new for $410.

I didnt mean it was obnoxious when i said "it was very loud." I particularly like the sound.

I'll be waiting for Yoshi to come out with a pipe for the 700R, I believe you can't go wrong with it, may not produce the highest hp numbers, but it's a solid great performer.

i like yoshi too, like you said it may not produce the most power and cost a little more. But i guarantee its in the top 10% of its class and the sound, well its just a yoshi.......

Now the HMF, does that produce more of a low end than the yoshi?

Do you think in the yoshi pipe if I put the quieting core in it, that it would bring up some of the low end considering it will create some back pressure?
