FINALLY got my Predator Limited Edition
#1
Well, after months and months of sifting through more information than you can imagine, I finally pulled the trigger on the new Limitied Edition Predator today. Stoked is an understatement. Only bad thing is after going through all that, doing the dealer paperwork thing, then the obligatory dinner with the wife and kids, it was too dark to ride (safely)...oh well, we are heading out to put her through the paces at about 7:00am tomorrow.

Doesn't that thing have a sweet roar to it?
now here's one thing you may want to try:
take the quiet core out of the muffler, and look at it, notice how the core is only held on by two spot welds? if you have access to a welder, run a bead the whole way around it, or if not, you might just want to leave it out. the noise is not attrocious. moreover, white brother e-series (which is what a pure polaris muffler is) have a problem with that core breaking. and speaking from experience, upon doing so, it turns into an impact hammer of sorts and with each pulse of the engine and beats the crap out of the endcap. Just saying, wish someone would have told me... oh well got muffler replaced under waranty, so whatever.
have fun with your pred! it's a wild ride.

Thanks for the tip Walt. I think I had heard that somewhere esle, that there was a problem with those. First 6 months though, I probably won't do anything. Did get it out today for the first time, and oh mamma, she is sweet!!! got into some wide open river beds and some technical trails and it handled very well on both. Power on it was awesome.
I think It's a keeper....

yep i too removed that core. my reason was to make it louder! at idle, with out the core, it almost sounds the same. i guess u can call it a sleeper. but once u get on it the sound is alot deeper and richer!
