Xplorer 250 4x4. 2-stroke engine. Least expensive 4x4 on the market today I think. People who own them seem to like them a lot!

He posted on the Honda forum because he has observed all the Polaris fanatics, running their yaps on the Honda forum. Who are they trying to convince that they made a good choice? Us or themselves??

Surprisingly zippy, agile machine. Will run with or outrun most 300s, likely due to light weight coupled with the 2 cycle engine. The 250 Polaris engine has been around for ages and really seems to hold up well. Great for running around, but not suited for real heavy work. Rides good, too. Selectable 2 to 4 wheel drive. That's bout all I know.

I bought a used Trail boss 250 4x4 (1989) last spring. It is my first Polaris I have owned and I am quite impressed with it. I weigh 275 and it hauls me over the moutains of se Idaho pretty good, even with another 100+ lbs of fencing tools and suplies tied on it. It has the on demand 4x4 and high-low range tranny.

Hey Farmeral, do you do what your name implies. There seems to be only a bout 4 or 5 of us in the whole forum that I can count, although most of the people here seem to have a pretty good grasp of that sort of thing. You a crop or livestock guy? We are a little of both here. I considered the 250 & almost got one, but we pull a small trailer around fencing so I wanted liquid cooling. The 250s are great machines, though.
