I have a 2005 raptor 660 and when i shift from 3th through 5th i get a loud knock on the left side of the engine for a few seconds, i can pop the clutch or give it a little more gas and it will go away. it does this almost every time i drive it, and it happens every time i shift from 3rd through 5th. I cant figure out whats causing it.

 

im not sure but it might be the gear box...im not 100% sure but ther a possibility its coming from there...it also might be your clutch

 

It sounds like its coming from the cylinder head but i doubt it, its hard to tell.

 

mayb there is a gap between your piston and your piston shaft...lol didnt sound 2 right there lol

it happened to my 04, just keep on riding it and i piped and jeted it and it still runs fine.
