Bayou 220 slow warm up fix?
#1
We have a 91 Bayou 220 that my son just bought. I put a kit in the carb, but it is very slow to warm up (even when it was 90 deg. yesterday) and has a flat spot off idle if you take off too fast. I read in various posts on here that others have had the same problem. Has anyone tried to richen up the pilot jet? I'm at 450 ft elevation. It would probably be fine if I was a few thousand feet higher, but the slow warm up and flat spot is annoying. On a side note I know the pilot air jet, pilot jet itself, two discharge ports and related passageways are clean. I have the pilot screw backed out about 6 turns. I think it's time to go up a size or two in the pilot jet. The stock jet is a 30. Any part numbers for a one step richer pilot jet? Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!
