Default LTZ 250 gearing?

OK has anyone tried to change the gearing on the 250's? I am sure that someone has? I went to some awesome dunes yesterday and the wife really needs more power out of her 250 thats for sure! It didn't do too bad but it really didn't do all that well either. I mean I know I have a 400 but that 250 has like NO power compared to the 400. I am thinking about opening up the airbox and maybe a rejet but thats all I can really think about??? Any help? Thanks!

I might have to look into that. I am not so sure that she could handle a clutch that is why I am thinking the 300ex or even the Z400 would be too much. She is a good rider but she doesn't want the hassle...

Anything else I could do? Anyone know of a website or company that makes aftermarket stuff for 250? Thanks!

man not many people make stuff for the 2fiddy. alba racing has a lotta stuff for it but most of its for looks, not many performance parts. let me know if you find that cam, id like to get one. well my only suggestion was get a clutch kit for it, that usually gives you a little more power but if she isnt comfortable with that theres not much else you can do. what were her complaints, did she need more torque or just wants more speed.

You can get her a z400 and get a rekluse auto clutch put in it. That way she has the power of the 400 without the hassle of the clutch.

Yes, do a search in the suzuki section for z250 clutch kit. Youll get all the info you need.

Clutch kit is at www.countrycycle.com for $260, but I don't see that helping with the power. A pipe, filter, and rejet would help you more IMHO. Your stuck with the gearing, the low/no maintanance of the shaft drive kills you there.
