ok, i know this has been posted before, but i need some help. this is going to be my first quad and i want to make sure i get the right one. when i first started looking i was pretty much sold on the 400, but after talking to a different salesmen the other day im having a hard time making up my mind. they both have their differences, but from what i saw it looked like the pred. was going to be heavier but have more power to make up for it. the 400 looked lighter and had more pep. but i havent rode either one so im not sure. if you guys have one or know what their like let me know what one i should go with. its going to be mostly trail riding, but would eventually make it out to the dunes. thanks for any help

A close feiend and riding partner has a 04 Predator with White Bro Exhaust jetted and kills 400s, even modded 400s. If your looking for a fast stable bike go with the Predator. Plus the Predator is setup with some sweet adjustable front shots. Just my 2cents.

 

i think i have made my mind on the 400. i can get a better deal and i think it should be a good one to learn on. thank you guys for info.

 

The preddy is better, i love them.

 

PREDATOR ROCKS!!!! i mostly trail ride and that has GREAT handling. If u add some modds 2 the pred its even BETTER.

 

My son has a Z400, I have a Predator. I'd pick the Predator over the Z 110% of the time. Isn't Polaris having a huge sale now anyways? I know I've seen tons of commercials for it recently. You might be able to get a Predator at a great price right now, and it is the better quad, IMNSHO.

 

The z400 is a great all around quad but the preddy handles just as good and is alot faster! Also you get a lot of nice parts with the preddy-fox shocks, stainless brakelines maxis razs' all kinds of goodies. My buddy has a z-400 and it was piped filtered and jetted and my preddy smoked him bone stock. It wasn't even close. Go with the preddy you won't be sorry!
