Default dyna cdi or wait for vdi

HI. I HAVE A 2004 KVF 700 (prairie in u.s) i was wondering if the dyna cdi gave you guys much of a performance increase and if it got rid of the belt limp mode . My bike has a tendency to go into limp mode for no particular reason, the switch dosn't trip. Does the dyna give much of a bottom end increase like it says. I don,t know if i should wait for the new vdi unit . Any info would be great, thanks.

Yes, the Dyna will give you quite a boost in performance. Probably the best bang-for-the-buck modification a Prairie/Brute Force owner can do. Can't tell you about the limp-home deal. When are the Kawasaki guys scheduled to get their VDIs? I wish they would hurry up because the sooner they release the Kawasaki units, the sooner they said they'll begin working on their next project: a CDI for the KingQuad.

I sure hope that was the intentional release because otherwise that will push the hopeful release date of the Suzuki CDI to well into next year

To answer your original question yes the dyna will give you a huge bottom end jump and will take care of your limp mode problem. It will also do away with your reverse limiter and increase spark energy and mine raised the rev limiter by 700rpm. Check them out at dyna's web site to get all the info.

Preformance wise I don't think there will be much difference between the 2. Unless you start moddding your quad and reprogramming the timing curve.

Are the two the same just dyna set to best curve and vdi is tune able for after mod's. I would just go with dyna so you don't tune it work and something bad happens and for 350 to 250 the dyna isn't that bad. preset sounds awsome to me. will the vdi over ride the over ride button and increase spark energy ? cause I can geta dyna for 192 $ don't ask lol

RedGoblin don't worry I think the wait is well worth it
