First ride on 05 700 plus winch install
#1
I took my friend 05 700 (carbed) for a test run yesterday and was really impressed. It had a nice smooth ride and was a wheelie machine in high range it wheelied almost as good as my modded up 03 700 and his is stock. We also installed a winch on it after I tested it out and I have some pics here. It had the prewired winch wires but they was almost to short other than that everything went good.

My dad just bought another sportsman but its an 04 700 efi twin. WOW!!! talk about ***** to the wall. That 0-50 is crazy fast. And the only reason he bought was because it had a winch and plow installed. It only has 230 miles on it also. He got it for 6,000

70003 have you two raced?
I think the 05 and up 700s are faster than the early modelas like ours as they got the EFI updates to the motor from 04.5 and the Team secondary clutch.

We haven't raced yet. I don't think hes will out run mine but it does have real good power for stock. Mine has better acceleration and pulls harder than his. You can be riding mine at around 15 mph and nail it and it pulls like crazy.

Cool, you do have a lot of mods!
I'm looking for similar results when I get my 800 pipe on , dyno jetted and my HSP Hyper clutch kit installed. No new carb (or cam) here... yet.
So far none of the upgrades I've performed (PP/WB silencer, 800 snorkel, K&N, Dayco HP2004 belt) have made any (or very little) difference.
Who knows I may upgrade to a 800 EFI someday with all the money I'm putting into the 700, I really like the EFI and what it has to offer for the cold climates.
