Need aftermarket oil filter brand/part # for 400ex?
Can anyone tell me the brand/part # for a good aftermarket oil filter I can get at my local parts store for my 2000 400ex?
Also, what type/grade of motor oil should I run and can I get it at the local auto parts store?

Not sure of the part #, but you can go to RockyMountainmc.com and it will show the part #'s for a 400ex oil filter. I use EMGO.
As far as oil, you can use any SAE approved 10W 40, but I recomend using Motorcycle specified oils. A autozone or Napa should carry Valvoline ATV oil.

Need aftermarket oil filter brand/part # for 400ex?
CH 6015 Fram oil filter with new O-ring. I get them from the local auto parts store shelf. I think about 4 bucks. I have used the emgo filters but the new O-ring is nice every couple of oil changes.
