What spark plug should I use? NGK, Champ, Nip?
#1
I have a 93 Kawasaki Bayou 400 KLF liquid cooled. In the process of putting the motor back together and need to get a spark plug. I looked in the Clymer manual and they suggest one if it's a US model and another if it's other. First, what's the differance and how do I klnow if it's US or other? Calls for a ND X24E-9 or NGK DP8EA-9 for US and for other (whatever that is) calls for ND X24EPR-U9 or NGK DPR8EA-9 Will one idle better or run hotter. Need some solid answers on which one to use. I don't have the owners manual just the Clymer manual.
Thanks.
Thanks.

One type is a resistor plug and the other type is not. They are all the same heat range. A solid core (non-resistor ) is a better plug IMHO. If you can, get the one without the R in it. If you can't, no biggie.
