'Ugh-OH' I bought a Honda
#1
Im now also a Honda owner.I been looking for a quad for the wife and daughter to ride.I looked at the 325 Tralboss,I did NOT like the fact of having a belt driven quad with NO Low range. So I shyed away from it.I looked for used and new models.I also refuse to buy ANY BELT driven quad that has been previously owned.I beleive that is refered to as USED.
I went from dealer to dealer, the Honda dealers DONT deal.Them freaking idiots allowed me,a PAYING CASH CUSTOMER,to walk out their doors for a matter of 100 dollars.SCREW them,in PLAIN English. It happened at two differant Honda dealerships.I got pissed and did'nt want to see another Honda dealer.
My Polaris dealer would of sold me a brand new 2000 model Trailboss for 3400 complete.I just did'nt care for owning a quad with no low range. The best the Honda boys would do is 3550,out the door for a 229cc Honda Recon.
I FINALLY found a 98[one owner]Honda Recon used.It has only used up 6 tanks of fuel since new.I looked it over with a fine comb toothbrush. It passed MY vigerous testings.
The owner and I had decided that 2450 was a good price for both of us.So goes the story.I payed him and brought it home.
As I have told EVERYONE in the past,im not loyal to a partiular brand,im loyal to MYSELF.If I like it ,I buy it.Its really that simple.I guess I proved it now,

Hey Bill don't sweat it, You have bought a great little Quad. That is my favorite Honda by far. It is just a little small for my taste. You will like it a lot. Just be aware of one factor. The front end comes up VERY easily. It is the wheelie king of utility Quads. I like to get on a friends about every time he rides with us just to see how long I can wheelie it. Its a fun machine.

Tim,
Get out of here.I love the Xplorer.NOT FOR SALE.Besides,my big *** is sorta small on the Recon.
Grizz,
Im still a Polaris man when it comes to the 4x4 quads, however,I found the Recon to fit the wife and daughter perfectly.Im with you bro,it's all about FUN anyhow,no matter what we ride,
Have a super day,
Bill

It amazes me the way dealers are. The last three quads i have bought i knew what i wanted. I had a ad from a cycle trader selling a new 220 for 2899 out the door, this dealer wanted 3400. The 2899 dealer was a hundred miles away. I told him i would split the difference and write him a check for 3150 and be gone, he said no, so i drove the hundred miles and got the other one. On the way back home i stopped back buy a bought a oil filter and a 2 quarts of oil, I just could not resist. This was all in a span of less than 4 hours. In hindsight i am glad i made the trip.

Did you get her a tow strap so can pull you...just kidding. The only problem with her having her own is now you will have to follow her, like when shopping and pushing the buggy.
Seriously, it will amaze you how well the little bike can go. My assistant has a 97 with Bearclaws on it and I have learned to hang back and not try to help her so much. When she is crossing a log or going thru a mudhole, she makes it the majority of the time.

just kidding. It don't matter to me what anybody rides, as long as they are having fun.
