My son was recently riding when suddenly the bike went dead. i noticed that his rear brake light remained on. The bike will not start and seems to just be "clicking" from the ignition coil. I did find the problem with the brake light. the wire came out of the left side handle bar. can anyone help with this electrical problem. Is it the ignition coil or am I just missing something small. thank you for any help you can provide. SAD SON!

I would think the loose wire had something to do with it going dead. Im thinking that loose wire was part of the brake switch that will keep the quad from starting if the brake isnt pulled in. And welcome to the forum made4speed2.

Thank you. Im thinking it is something simple also. I have pulled all the plastic off and traced the wiring and can't find a thing. It has to be something stupid that I'm missing. The bike only has about 20 hours on it and has ran great until this point.

First slowly recharge your battery. Does the brake light stay on when quad key is on? Either disconnect the plug (easiest) close to the brake light, or take the brake lever off the handlebar and check the plunger on the wire going to the inside of the brake lever. It should be pushed in when not applying the brake and it is allowed to move out when you pull the brake lever. (it's an easy fix, that's where my son's was broke) Also check behind the brake pedal but in front of the rear tire, there is a spring and plunger assembly that may be stuck and is holding the brake light on. Good luck
