i have a 2005 400ex with the e-series pipe. all prm skid plates and side pegs. the side pegs alone were $250. what do iask for it? i wanna get some cash for it but i do know i'm gonna lose a bundle on it? any ideas where to start for asking price

 

why are u selling?

 

You will have to check out the ads in your area and see just what they are selling for. It varies around the country.
I just sold my 2000 440ex for $3500, But it had lots of extras...

With all the new models coming out, the old stuff just aint holding their value as in the past...

My suggestion is to take off the aftermarket parts (expensive ones) and sell them on ebay or someplace else. Since it is off of an '05 they probably have little to moderate wear. Depending on the use and condition of the bike you could probably get 4200-4500 bone stock (since it has reverse) and tack on 300-450 tops for all of the aftermarket stuff. Generally aftermarket does not add much to the resale value unless it is new and on a newer machine as in your case.

 

Wait, a full system exhaust or just the pipe? If just pipe I would say 300-350 tops for all aftermarket added.

 

If you decide to take off the after market stuff let me know what you want for it.....
