Default Lt80 Head Modification

Hello all,
It was suggested that for more power I cut down the head .030" om my Lt80 so I bought a spare head and am cutting it. Is there anything else I need to do to take advantage of the increased compression? Also, before it take the top off the motor is there a gasket? Does anyone know the torque spec on the bolts? Hopefully these are simple questions.

Thanks in advance,
David

Yes there is a gasket, you can re-use the old one unless you bend it all up.
115 inch pounds.

With more compression, wouldn't it be good to retard the spark a little? Or should I just run a higher octane fuel? Maybe I am just overthinking this.
