Default I need to pick up half a length.

ok so I need to pick up half a scrambler quad length to be were I want to be for now. I have three options I'm considering and wonder whihc one is best.

I'm racing my buddys piped z-400 on the same road for reference. I have the bogs and stumbles out that I have talked to some of you about but at the end of the race my front tire is about 2-3feet off his back tire. I take the hole shot and hold it until the end when he manages to pull by.

400 2x4
mods- AAEN top end
V force reeds
Uni clamp on.
260 Main jet.
Polaris Brown spring
HPD violet secondary 2/2 position. belt good condition
50 punds removed from bike, rider weight 160pounds

I'm thinking I can change primarys and pick up some speed, but the AAEN peaks at 6250 RPM any more shift out and I think I will pass this mark any opinions of the polaris Pink Spring? I get a good amount of spin as is.

I have also thought about a 14 tooth front sprocket I would love to have some top and and think this could help with my hole shot and to stretch my lead out even further any one tried one?

My last idea is to try the secondary spring position in the 1/1 position to see if this will give me some more on top. any ideas here?

Let me know what you think of each option or any combination of the three. I am not set on the pick primary just think I will over shoot my mark with a HPD red/yellow.

Try the secondary in the 1-1 position, this may give you what you need.

thanks man. I was thinking the same. I think the pick would work well as the brown probable overshoots the revs some. My tach quit working on me so I have no way to verify.

Try the 14 and see what happens too. It will accelerate all the way through better if it's been lightened up.

Sounds like the 14 tooth may do the trick since you are getting the holeshot. I'd also try the secondary in the 1-1 like CED said.
