Default 380cc kit for 250r

I was wondering if anyone had heard or had experience with the ESR 380cc kit for a 250R and would tell me how it rode and raced and how reliable it is ... thanks

I've only seen people have the 310cc and 330cc kits from ESR and I've been told they are near bullet-proof. The 380cc kit seems to be a little stretched out as far as reliabilty goes. Somestimes its better to go smaller with more reliability.

Thanks! Just make sure that if you put that much motor in your R that you have a chassis that can handle it. It's hard to control a bike with that much power that doesn't have a-arms, an axle and suspension to handle it. Good luck.

A lsr frame would be the best, but if you already have a stock frame just gusset it and you'll be good to go. I don't know the exact weights but I would assume a lsr frame is lighter. Just mod your stock frame so you can put the money you saved into other parts.

i HAVE A NEW ESR 350 STROKER MOTOR COMPLETELY DONE BY ESR. IT IS STROKED 4MM. IT IS BASICALLY A 370 WITH THE 4MM STROKE. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! I WOULD NOT HAVE ANY OTHER MOTOR. PLUS THEY TURN THE MOTORS AROUND QUICK STYLE.
AT FIRST WHEN I PUT IT IN AND RODE IT I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE TICKING NOISE IN THE TOP END BUT APPARENTLY IT IS VERY NORMAL FOR THE STROKER MOTOR. YOU GET 2 DOMES. ONE FOR PUMP GAS (i DON'T USE) AND ONE FOR C12 WHICH I USE. USE THE C12 RACING FUEL ONLY 100%. IT RUNS MUCH COOLER, PERFORMS BETTER AND SMELLS REALLY GOOD TOO!! I HAVE THE SHORT STINGER ESR PIPE WITH THEIR AIR FILTER. I HAVE A 1986 HONDA 250R WITH PLUS 3 A-ARMS AND +6 SWINGARM. SUSPENSION IS A MUST WITH THIS MOTOR. PLUS IT IS VERY CUSH RIDING. GREAT FOR JUMPING. THIS MOTOR HAS A VERY WIDE RANGE POWER BAND. EXCELLENT FOR DUNING. I CHOSE NOT TO GO WITH THE POWER VALVE. TOO MUCH MONEY AND REALLY NOT WORTH IT. WELL I HOPE THIS HELPS.. I LOVE MY BIKE.. IT EATS MOST BANSHEES TOO!! ALSO BE SURE TO BUY A NEW PWR OVERSIZED RADIATOR AND GET A LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL. VERY IMPORTANT. MAKE SURE TO RUN A NGK RACING PLUG BECAUSE THAT MOTOR WILL EAT A REGULAR PLUG FOR BREAKFAST..

IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS. I JUST WENT THROUGH THIS WHOLE MAKEOVER.. BE GLAD TO HELP!!

ESR is a great company. I would also consider Dennis Packard... He doesn't advertise, because he doesn't have to...
