Default E-bay seat cover

Has anyone else ordered the yellow and black seat cover that they have on E-bay all the time. I got one and after cutting off the old one I compared the two, (should have done that first,) the new one is not even close to the shape of the old one. Has anyone else run into this problem? Also, I can not get the E-bayer to turn my E-mails. At this rate I would say " stay away from this particular seat cover." My question then is "Who make a good seat cover that you have installed and know that it fits right?" I need one in a yellow and black pattern. Thanks

Default E-bay seat cover

Here's my deal. I purchased the advertised seat cover in red and black for my 03. Took it to two of my local upholstery shops who do bike and atv covers all of the time. Both told me that they think the cover I recieved was for one of the LT seats. I'm assuming that you have a bunch of excess material where the seat bends up. At one shop there were four of us pulling everything tight and still nowhere for the excess at the bend to go.
They do answer e-mails, it just takes a little while. I believe they travel as private vendors selling thier wares. Once I did contact them they were very friendly. Requested that I send some pics so I did. It was a pain in the *** but per thier request I sent my seat to them for them to try and put said cover on. It should be there today or tomorrow. They said I should have it back within a week of them recieving it. If you would like to wait and find out my results in the next week or so you are more than welcome to PM me or just repost here.
If not maybe this will help you along. They are:

Verde Powersports
4000 East Main Street Suite 2
Mesa, AZ 85205

You can call Troy or Lacey at 480-329-2535

They seem to be making mine right and have offered to prorate the return to compensate for the $8 I spent to have it sent to me to begin with. I will keep you posted. Is yours about six inches too long all the way around also?

I would recommend to anyone else who wins one of these to just go ahead and send your seat to them to save time and hassle. It seems to be a very quality item, once it gets fit. Mine was around $15 to send to them.

The seat cover does seem like it is for a taller seat. This is the E-mail that I sent to them "The seat cover I received doesn't fit properly for my 2001 DS 650. It doesn't match the old cover I removed. It seems to be for a taller seat. The center curve on the sides are way off. I have installed a cover on a DS before and this one is not even close. Please E-mail me so that we can make this right as I now do not have a cover for my seat. Thanks for any help you can offer. Mike" Yes, Aceisback, please keep me informed as to how your seat turns out. Thanks for the info

I will be sure to let everyone know how the deal turns out. I was quite pleased with the quality, just did not seem to fit. And yes they said they could do the color combo you want. The black was a nonskid, almost suede feel material.
I'm sorry, I'm terrible with names, but someone here on the forum has the black/yellow as shown in the auction installed and the fit looks perfect. I PM'd him and we spoke over the phone, which is why I purchased mine. He was very satisfied with his, which was installed by the seller. Maybe they have a trick for making all of that excess disappear that us common folk just can't figure out...

Just a follow up on the seat cover. Troy was very helpful at Verde Powersports. Said he had some problems with some of the patterns. He made me a new cover and is shipping it out to me at no cost. Very good people to deal with. If you need a seat cover give them a call. Aceisback, how did yours turn out?

I talked to Lacey after I had sent my whole seat to them. She said that there was definitely a problem, said the computer had made the pattern larger, and that they were going to cover mine with the corrected pattern and refund the s&h fees. I should have it tomorrow.

I told her some peers had also ordered the cover and that they also were too large, and she wanted me to get the word out to you guys to contact her or Troy to get the defective ones fixed. I feel like they are very good, fair folks to work with.

I was going to post with the follow up when the seat got here but ya beat me to it. Glad your deal turned out good.
