A dealer told me that he thought(yes he actually said thought) that the Rubicon used a different oil filter than the other Honda atv's. I was always under the impression that Honda used the same oil filter in all their atv's. Anyone bought a filter for the Rubicon? If so what is the Honda part number on the package? This dealer really left me wondering if he should be working the parts counter.

It is larger. It is about $8. I will post the part# for you when I get home, if no one else has done so first.

The part # is 15412-KEA-003 and it is definitely different from others and like the man said it is much bigger.

Thanks for the information. Luckily this is the part number that the dealer gave me. I guess I underestimated him.

The first change of my Ruby oil filter BROKE a quality 3/8 drive deep socket getting it loose. It was really in there tight! Mumbled a prayer, reached for a 1/2 drive socket, and it came loose. Either over-tightened at the factory, or some sort of metal "attraction" (possibly it needs some anti-seize on the threads?)
