yes,go to the HPD website and in the 400 scrambler parts section,there is
a pull rope hand starter exactly the same like the sleds pull rope,so
great idea.

i called them yesterday and the woman that answered the phone put me on hold to ask Daryl i pressume then told me it doesn't fit over the cover to keep water out. i guess i should have mentioned i want it to fit like the stock one.

I wish they would have told me that before I bought mine, I noticed it too. I have to drain the recoil after washing my bike.

I got it to seal up pretty well, you just have to grind the handle down alittle and clamp a piece of hose to the top and use a hose clamp to snug the bottom as well. in all honestly this one is no easier then the factory one and hurts my hand more then the factory one.

 

installed a stock one today. must say it beats the hell out of a piece of wood.
