New Outlander lacks in a few areas...

Here I am again to tell the truth...I hope you guys will go a little easier on me...i thought I was in the Polaris section for awhile there. i just returned from our local dealer to see what all the excitement is about...not too much. This machine does have a incredible motor. in all fairness to the manufacturer it is a wonder to behold. There are some nice touches that impressed me. What shot it down was the total lack of protection to the hardware in the front end...ecspecially the disk brake sysytem. Anyone who has used their machine to hunt or explore or just have fun with will NOT like this. It is VERY reminiscint of the Brute Force where legions of owners complained of debris and brush accumilating in this area. As one that goes to the canadian border for the real thing..rugged mountains....that won't cut it. I am surprised by this oversight really. Mark my words this will NOT sit well with the critics. Sure its great if you want to ride dunes and flatlands...what about talus, waist high shrubs, vertical rock...and tree stumps? Sorry boys, that is what they have in the ...woods. Last and not least OVER 10,000.00................ In my opinion my K.Q. still reigns.

Well here is my opinion...."Your opinion sucks!"
I don't care what you ride, you will get debris the brakes....There is plenty of protection, I've been blasting mine off rocks left and right and it takes a beatin. It's only over 10,000 if you buy a 2 seater XT. Standards run 8599...RETAIL...wait thats the same as a polaris 800 and the bomb is twice the machine. The KQ is a nice machine for the price, don't get me wrong. But you are not comparing apples to apples here. If you wan the biggest baddest atv...you have to pay the price. That's how it works in ATVS, Sleds, Trucks, Cars, Etc. It's a fact of life!
Did you even ride this thing? because you really didn't give much of a review. What about ride quality compared to your KQ? What about power to weight ratio compared to your KQ? Engine Breaking? 4wd capabilities? Pulling abilities? Innovation towards the next step or the atv world? I think the bomb has your KQ beat....
Critics? Well the people in this forum are not "critics"...they are riders. They are what count...not the magazines, not the tv shows...the RIDERS!

Well said dooski7c, it seems to me that if you look hard enough you can find a fault with every make and model quad. Only a fool would expect a machine to conquer every type of terrain flawlessly. Thats what the aftermarket is for. Its a crazy idea.. you can customize your machine to better handle your choosen terrain. Good luck in your quest to find this godlike quad you refer to.

I don't understand...I said that this machine has some nice touches AND the best motor out there bar none. What...someone cannot express another point of view. This is what causes brand sites to become communistic...positive or nothing. I only made a very realistic observation about the lack of protection. It is a real issue... at least for me. What is wrong with you guys? I thought that you guys were a notch ABOVE the Polaris crowd. How come we don't see alot of Bombadier riders from other places of the country? Other than California and the west coast that are known sand dune states? Hmmmm...maybe their out there. if some of you are rocky mountain riders, as I am, please, sound off.
