Default 2005 Kodiak 450???

I think I have decided to purchase a 2005 Kodiak 450. It seems like a lot of bike for a good price.....$5,400 (out the door). I was curious if anyone had anything negative to say about this bike before I write the check.

Thanks for any input!

Hard to say much bad about it, they're great machines!! I have the older one with the solid rear axle so yours will probably ride better ( not that I have any problem with mine).

You're not going to win many races but it's no slouch either.

It'll work almost as well or even better than some big bores. The low range is real nice for making new trails and pulling stuck sport bikes out of the mud.

I hear good things about the eiger, it's suppose to be similar. I haven't run into anyone that was very dissapointed with the kody. I think you'll be happy.

See ya on the trails.

Just got a recall letter on my 05 for steering system universal joints. "To correct this defect, your authorized Yamaha dealer will install a new universal joint kit on your ATV. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO YOU FOR THIS PROCEDURE."

Otherwise this bike has been great for my purposes. Top speed with me, 225 lbs, is 51. Only have 25 miles on her so far.
