Default Paddle tires? Mud? Raptor?

I want to start doing mud drags with my raptor next season. The place where I run my truck has an atv class that is basically "run what you brung, hope you brung enough." I was thinking about getting some paddle tires for ultimate traction but I dont know which ones to get. Straigh, angled, v's. How many paddles? It is a 200ft track and the mud is not that deep, It is more like wet dirt. Should I stay with 20's or go down to 18's I was looking at a set of AMS aerospeed, but I dont know. I would also like to buy used because the tires wont get much use. I have been watchin ebay and have seen some sets going for 60 bucks. Any opinions?

if it is just dirt......you could be pretty hard on a set of paddles.........

I know some people used to run realators........but they are pretty heavy, and require quite a bit of power

I have a set of 20 inch blackwaters, but track conditions varry. One day it will be sloppy and slippery, the next time out is could be alot drier.

First off I think the 20" size would definately be a better choice, more ground clearance and floatation in the terrain.

Geckos arent much as sand tires, but they are cheap. They would probably work better than holeshots, razrs and the like but there are probably better alternatives.

for mud racing, get the GBC Paddlemasters... I think there is a pic or 2 of them in my bio pics ( click camera )... they make them in 22" & 25"... if I do a 2wd mud race, I either use a set of the paddlemasters, or a set of my 22" X 12.5" x 9" TSL's... the Gekos will hold up OK, but no where near as well as the paddlemasters... otherwise if the mud is not deep, you can try a set of 4 snows or AMS zippers... other sand paddles will get wrecked right away with that type of use...

Just a warning, the GBC's are HEAVY!!! I mean real heavy, but they do have very strong paddles that will really throw the mud and snow. We have learned now through trial and error that they dont belong anywhere near the sand on a sport quad.
