i have heard of ds650 doing high 4.9 or 4.5. are them times on paved dragstips or what . igot fast quad never lost to a raptor . also have won a couple of drags with a quadzilla . but on gravel i can only do 5.7 is that any good or what is a good time

 

5.7 with just a slipon is good
5.6 with endcap
5.5 with endcap and cdi
5.4 with endcap, cdi and lightened tires/wheels, hubs and chain
5.3 drag pipe and etc

 

THANKS AGAIN OLDMAN but what is and end cap . igot a dg Xeleron with fins . idont think it makes a diffrance if i take the fins off . it may even lose power

 

i am also traing to find hose for your snorkel mod. but i removed the snorkels once . when idid also put bigger jet and whent 2 more turns out on carb .but really no power diffrance so whent back to whear i had it.

 

An endcap is put onto the end of the stock factory silencer.
MrHp and On Dunes sell them. They have no spark arrestor and may not be trail legal.
On Dunes may have one with a spark arristor. Makes for big torque.

I could not find a picture of your pipe. I think it is a overrev design.
Does the piping going into the silencer get larger the last foot, before the silencer?
If it does it is a overrev design. Great pipe but just starting to be used.
I am using a different brand and like to get it dialed in better. Great power mid and top.
Need to get more out of bottom.

Do you have the stock or aftermarket cdi?
The new one from Big Gun has an advanced ignition curve and will enhance your torque.
Good choice for next mod to your quad.

 

xccelerator by dg . is the brand of my pipe sorry. i am traying to find a cdi .msd or votex are to expencive.big gun i think is procom. have not had good luck with procom .

i will tray to find one , maybe big gun. or alba sales some to. will finish carb mods tomarrow will go racing on saturday.p.s no more wheelies on dirt drags , lowered the front of the bike 2 ' locked down. bike will not wheelie off the start. full throttle just let go.

 

Did you ever get some more times on your bike since the improvement on the setup?

 

well since my last post and more mods,like a big gun cdi , also bigger jets 185mikuni, did my own piston instalation a JE11.5.1 ,ported my head and intake,just did a 5.40 in 300 feet getting a little better,but like always want more,also raced my vmax this weekend a 10. 48 1/4mile so my ds feels a bit slow.
