Scooby Dominated Little Sahara!!!!!
#1
Was just reading this off of another sight. Wondering if anyone was there to confirm this. They said he was the fastest 4-stroke there. BTW, that is Little Sahara in Oklahoma. Also said that the closest 4-stroke was atleast 5 bikes back and that this was the best that they had ever seen Scooby launch before. Way to go in my book. Making the DS community proud

I dont think I was 5 bike lengths back...but yes Scooby was not letting anyone get in front of him for more than a few feet before he would dominate. He has his launches perfected. This is something that is not always as easy as it would seem with a turbo, at least for me anyway. I had a few tuning issues for the most part on Sat but when it ran it ran strong but on the next pass it seemed to be out of tune again until I would turn it off and on again. Never felt that kind of power before. Thanks to randal, eric and bo.
Scooby had his usual group of onlookers and I also got to take a good look at his bike. Very impressive was not only his bike but his knowledge and experiences with the turbo DS. Hope we can all meet up this spring for Snakehunt. Robert

Thanks everyone!
The DS did run great. Nothing broke either, now that's a change! Just a little clutch wear after launching a couple of times in 3rd gear with 16/36 gearing and 25" 14 paddle extremes. Nothing really changed on the DS since snakehunt earlier this year and no I wasn't running NOS!
I wasn't 5 lengths ahead of BasicBajaX. He was not really racing, just testing out his setup.
BasicBajaX, It was nice meeting you. I wish I owned a clean new HPR 730 turbo DS like yours - in fact I've been thinking about it... Your DS is impressive. There is a lot of potential there, just need to work through the EFI issues. On the runs that you did make your DS looked like it was pulling hard. The motor sounds strong even before boost builds up.

It's only running about 5 lbs of boost with the new 730 kit. We'll get it up on the next session. We also need to get off the stock timing curve and get on alcohol. Lets see.....need to get a new exhaust pipe- giving up power on the turbo with leaking exhaust.....test more cams.....you might want to look into an apartment in Paducah....

I am going to be putting on the new header pipe tonight. It was suppose to be for the bike at your shop. I will set them side by side and see if Bo is right. Hopefully some changes in design were made. I should know by tomarrow.
More cams...more testing...less timing...I will need the alcohol for myself.
With diesel at $3.60 plus here maybe it would be cheaper to move to KY. Robert
