Where do you get race gas and what is the average cost per gallonl. I went to the ironman gncc race and they had klotz for sale. It was like 7.50 per gallon! I heard you can get it at gas stations but i dont know which ones.

Some gas stations will have a race fuel pump, but a very small percentage carry it. Look for it around recreational areas like lakes or race tracks.

Most companies you can contact and they will give you the name of a distributor or retail outlet in your area.

Some speed shops sell race gas. race gas at my local speed shop goes from about 6.00 a gallon for vp red i think to 12.50 i think is what vp U2 cost. Race fuel is expensive. I have heard of people getting high octane fuel local airports, and I think it is cheaper there.

the high octane fuel at airports is avgas, and not good for cars, bikes, or atvs.

110 octane pump gas was running 4 bucks a gallon here before they shut the pumps down for winter.

I was wondering if pump gas with octane booster is as good as strait race gas. I need this for my blaster.

I still use 1/2 "airport" av gas w/ 1/2 pump premium gas and save ALOT of $$$ compared to "race" gas - I've been running it in my 400ex (thats all kinds of pumped up ) for 3 race seasons - numerous dune trips and alot of trail riding with NO problems ever - I use to use it in my 2-stroke also (for years)

What would be the effect of using race fuel in a stock ATV (YFZ 450)?
