Default My raptor 660,

Hello all, i have been reading a lot lately on here since i got my quad. Its a 05 white/red raptor 660. I just put pro flow k&n in it and a FMF TI-4 on it. and rejetted. It is crazy how much intake and slipon woke it up. I am using Dyno jets stage 2 kit. I had 146/148 and 4th clip. I went down to 144/146 now to lean out a little bit. It hauls ist through 4th but lays down a little bit in 5th. What do u recommend? Do i need a cam to gain top end? My cousin has the 700r with LRd slipon and k&n proflow and we are dead even until 5th gear then he walks away from me.
thanks for any comments or replies, Mike

Default My raptor 660,

Take the lid off and go with 146/148. What elevation are you at?

Default My raptor 660,

I have the lid off already, but didnt mention it. I had 146-148 mains and 2-1/2 turns out on idle mixture scew, and i just changed to 144-146 and turned the idle mixture scews out 2-3/4 turns, and clip still on 4th spot. I went and tested it out again tonight. It feels the same it lays over in 5th gear and loads up a little at low engine speed while slight load on it. If its to lean on mains would it sputter on top end? Could i be running to lean on the top and making it not pull hard on top in 5th. thanks,
Mike

Default My raptor 660,

You said you have the Dyno jet kit, they have a diagram and what not in there booklet that pretty much makes it flawless for jetting your quad.
