Wheelieing Raptor 660
#1
Alright guys Im new to this forum, I just recently bought a 2001 Raptor 660. Heres my problem, I would love to ride wheelies for long distances on my Raptor, but I have some issues, I have no grab bar, Im still a little nervous of doing wheelies because of a previous spill I took, and anytime I bring the tires off the ground, the quad stands straight up. You guys got any tips on overcoming fear or accomplishing riding out long wheelies?

get a grab bar (or make one) if u know how to weld, make sure it sticks out past the pipe. You know that point when the quad is standin up leaving you feeling like your going to tip? well thats where you need to be to ride them out! just practice on soft terrain, like sand. your gonna have to learn how to work your clutch, and your rear brake, or get better at balancing! Actually they kinda will..........you need to get one that goes strait out........with no leverage. Don't get one that has the curved upward look................I've had them break before......and have broken 3/8" bolts out of it too.......never had any trouble with the strait ones though......

Buy a grab bar, and then just practice. That is all you can do.
A little tip tho, try playing with the back break, if you feel you are going back to far tap it. Once you get good you won't need it and can just use throttle controle and balance.
