That's interesting, I was concidering buying one for my grandson for xmas. Maybe I'll go back to my first choice for him the Polaris. Don't want to end up with something I can't get part's for later.

 

Thanks MrD and welcome to the forum. I always thought my wifes yamoto looked a lot like a yamaha. They even claimed it was a chinese yamaha when i bought it

 

Worst comes to worst, they will probably just close shop for a bit and return under a different name. Might not even bother to change the product any.

There are factoris in china that have partnered with yamaha they are called Linhai.

 

Are they actually Yamaha engines with Yamaha clearly marked on the engines? Or are they Yamaha design engines where this Chinese company has bought old Yamaha tooling and the Chinese company is manufactoring it's own Yamaha design engine?
