super sweet 250x/350x conversion

Hi all. If you have ever wanted to build one of these or thought about buying one, then check mine out and see if you like what I did. I can send you pics of things if you want to see how I did things. It is not top of the line race built but a very nice sport rider. The pic is on my page. If your interested pm me.
It is powdercoated, painted and is 80% brand new and 20% like new, with alot of updated better parts. And has only had about 10-14 hours ride time. Even the engine was a brand new 1986 350x install, with a powroll conversion kit and a 400ex carb to feed it. Let me know what you think. RUSS

Hey, that is a nice 350x conversion, I did one too, but I'm selling it on ebay, and not holding on to it forever like I probably should. Search for 350x conversion, you'll find it.
My question is, what settings did you use for the 400ex carb? I've got the powroll exhaust, but when I put the stock 400ex carb on, it was too rich, didnt' run well, and I didn't have the jets for it at the time to work with it. I did talk with Pam @ powroll and she gave me some settings for carb, along with airbox lid off, etc...
Thanks bro...

The stock main jet is 145, I had to put a 160 in to get it right, I think I have the idle screw out 3 turns. It works great for me. My engine is in perfect condition though and maybe thats why it works for me. I am also running all 8 disk's in the pipe and actually want to add a couple more. I took 2 out like powroll recommends for a stock engine and it runs like crap compared to all 8 being in. The only thing I hate about this quad is the kickstart, when it gets hot I can barely kick it over after riding awhile. But that prob has to me being a lightweight, 140lbs. LOL'S I do like the way it runs for a stock engine and wish there was more out there to build it up. They were the sh** in the day but now they are becomming dinosours. LOL's Great builds though. I will check your quad out. Later, RUSS Oh by the way, I run with the airbox lid on, I have about 5 vent inserts in the lid though with a k+n with pre filter

Hi, I only found one but it was located in georgia. Your quad is on there now? Also the one I did see was black and red and is ending soon. I also noticed that you are new to the forum, well welcom aboard. Y ou will find this site very usefull. If that is your quad on ebay, did you move? Also if that is yours I checked out your feedback and seen the r/c hobby as well. Well I have a bunch of nitro r/c stuff including a converted maxx and a maxx for the boy and a few others. RUSS

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking of trying it, might be nicer with an accelerator pumped carb anyway...
I run with the lid off, cuz I'm running a foam filter, very lubed...
Thanks.
