Default Feelin' hooked up!

New to the sport with a powerful 2005 Brute Force 750. My first weekend I rode Hollister Hills and had a great time. The next camping trip with my friends I crash! I think I have a picture before it really turned ugly. I moved on. But now I am Feelin' hooked up with my upgrades. I generally ride in the Sierra Mountains, which consists of a varity of rock filled to fairly compacted dirt trails. I am looking for a productive discussion about the modifications I've made. I appreciate any comments and/or critisms you might have.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Welcome to the forums and the sport! You sure did pick a big bike to start out on, but that's alright, just make sure to be careful because that Brute is a heavy sucker.

Your right. I found out the hard way when it rolled front first and landed on my back and cracked my rib. I have never felt so much pain, especially on the four hour drive out of the mountains to the hospital. When I finally arrived, I was in tears. That was 6 months ago and I am still tender. I now wear full protective gear and have made various modificiations, including new ITP radial tires and new Works AT steeler shocks, which I hope will prevent me from bouncing around on the trail. The new tires have been great and the shocks are on their way. So far, it been a great bike.

What modifications have people made to their Brute Force 750 that has made the biggest difference.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Frosty, I too have some nagging aches and pains from trying to do stuff before I was ready. It's taken me 2 years to learn how to hang with the guys and still not be riding over my head.

By the time you are really comfortable with that big bike, VDI cdi will be out for the BF750. That will wake you up the first time you hit it.
