Kawasaki 750 Exhaust Glowing
#1
I have a Brute Force 750 4x4i, it has 160 miles and the exhaust pipe from the front cylinder glows red when you going along. When it sits and idles, it does'nt. The Exhaust pipe from the rear cylinder does'nt glow though. If anyone Knows how I can fix It i'd really appreciate it.

there was a service bulletin on changing out the needle in the front carb to match the rear one, this was on all 05 brute 750's. if you have a miss or hesitation somewhere between 9 and 15mph you should have the needle changed. if it is reletivly new or an 06 it should have the new needle already in it. yes it is from being too lean in the front cylinder. i havnt noticed it myself on mine before or after the needle change but a friend of mine had the glowing pipe until he had the needle change. also that motor needs to break in and it will run cooler the more you ride it. hope this helps.

My BF750i always ran perfect and the pipe never turned red , after I installed my EPI springs then the front pipe started glowing so I changed the front needle and main jet to match the rear carb and it still does it but not as bad as before , the springs I installed make it run at such a higher RPM now than it did before is where my problem came from.

One other thing that comes into play here is the altitude you ride at. I have never had the glowing pipe problem because we ride between 4500'-9500' elavation. The lower you go in elavation the leaner your machine will run.
