TM45 on alky- Hightower, this bud's for you!

I have been having some issues with getting the TM to perform correctly on methanol.
It has a pretty bad stumble when you hit the throttle any harder than a feathering
it backfires on deacceleration
it seems to be running pretty hot
doesn't have the power it should
won't rev out bery quick under load
EDIT: ~ PUMP NOT ACTIVATED~
I have started with a 40 pilot, and drilled it with the numbered bits, all the way through from smallest to biggest (bigest being i think 0.0665 or something) Even took the pilot out all together. Seems to want to be more than what it is now, but less tahn out completely. The biggest bit i used ended up taking out the little tube on the end of the jet....
Needle is a 95, tried the lowest clip, the second lowest, and the third lowest, still no go
main is only a 250, tried that and tried with it out...
Mods are as follows:
Airbox lid on
Uni filter
Snorkles on, but cut to 12 inches or so
11.5-1 comp CP piston
Ported head
stock CDI (rwr crapped out)
Stock cams
ported intake
22 inch razr 2's on rear
twist throttle to compensate that damn pull
elevation about 2200 ft
tamp about 5 degrees celcius
i think thats all that effects engine wise
And one other thing....the brass plate thats on the slide has a seal behiend it. In which "groove" of the slide is that supposed to sit? it's in the middle right now, i don't imagine it would be on the outermost one, but memory serves it may have been on the innermost bottom one. I guess the seal didn't like carb cleaner, and swelled up pretty good, but has shrunk now to about that size.
If anyone has any suggestions on jetting, let me know, and if possible, if say I need a 70 pilot, what would that be in inches? I imagine I'll be drilling jets, not waiting to order them.
Thanks guys!

TM-45 on alky, 60 pilot, 300 main, 95 needle middle clip, air screw 1 3/4 out. ported head, web 109's, 14/1 piston, full snorkle KN no box. Pump activated. this was tuned on a dyno. Larger jet holder and larger needle and seat.

from my calculations, a mikuni 300 main works out to be about 2.81 mm, or 0.110627 inches, and a 60 pilot works out to be 0.5624 mm or 0.02214 inches.
A 7/64 drill bit is 0.109375 inches, which works out to 2.7781 mm, which is approx a 296.4 mikiuni jet. I think thats about as close as I'll come to a true 300.

I believe that some have drilled out the jet holder with an 1/8 inch drill bit . Larger needle and seat might be required to allow more fuel in. I do still run my stock petcock and have not runout of fuel, even at the 1/8 mile drag strip.

I have done as explained, seems to run much better, but It still backfires a bit on deacceleration a bit, but that may be due to an exhaust leak. On startup when it's cold, I get back fiiring out the carb a bit, and it still has some bog when i jab the throttle. But much improved anyhow...thanks crazypainter for your help, and ero you as well. Any other tips would be helpful.
Thanks guys
