DS650 to run as good as an LT500
#1
Ok Guys this is only a Hypothetical question, What would need to be done to a DS650 to perform as good as an LT500, meaning, hit of power band, torque, and shear Horse power increase to say 65 Plus HP? Ya I know Pipe and a carb is needed.

I remember that one of the mags did a review of a Pami kit...I think a 720 or something...and it put a hurting on a sweet 'Zilla they included for comparisons sake. I'm hoping for a HP kit sometime in the near future.

I have both a 560LT and several different DS combos. My Lt will out run most up to about a stage 3 kit. Then it swaps wins. Any DS bigger, the LT starts playing catch up.
My LT dyno 57hp
Stage3 dyno 69 Both tested on my dyno.
The factor is weight betwwen them in a race. The DS is heaver.

Simple, bolt on a KMS EFI Turbo system with 5lbs of boost.
My DS was just dynoed at 72 HP running on AvGas with the new updates and a silencer.
Adding a silencer gave me 5+ more HP then a straight megaphone.

Got the stator through KMS Performance in Phoenix.
Power Band, I didn't know I had one. The DS seems to pull strong all the way through. I can go from 15 mph to 50 mph in third gear with no problem, and I have upped my gearing - one tooth bigger front sprocket and 22" paddles.
