#1
TextI have a 2006 800 polaris that shredded a belt this evening with 114 miles on it..... Also its the same one that was pulling to the right bad... I have had it 15 days and its been in the shop 9 days..... Would have been there more but they are closed on mondays.......... Only been ridden 3 times.... Has anyone else had this bad luck with a new 4 wheeler? Can dealer be made to replace it ?.... Thank You... unhappy in ky.....

sounds like you have a pretty crappy dealer, not to mention you deffenetly got a Lemon. call up polaris and bitch at them, dont let htem get the better of you, bitch at them, and bitch at them some more. they'll pull a super warrenty on it or replace it. if they wont, strike up a lawyer and declair Lemon Laws
if your dealer wont stand up for your warrenty or wont fix it, take it to Waynes Powersports in La Grange (next to louisville) great guys, talk to Jeremy, he'll take care of you.

i've heard of people shredding the 800 belts when new, actually one of the magazines that tested it when it first came out shredded a belt...
i think the fix is to adjust the deflection, etc. correctly, which the dealer should be able to do....
I've got 1020 miles on my '05 700 EFI and even after getting it stuck yesterday in quicksand/mud....i reamed the hell out of it and the belt still held up, the original belt....i carry a spare, but want to see how many miles the factory belt gets on it....granted, the 700 belt is different....at least for 2006 i think it is...
