Default Raptor Jetting Question??

I got an 01' Raptor with a white brother's slip-on, pro-flow filter kit, (foam filter), and everything else is stock. I live in the Central Valley, in California, and ride mostly at the beach in pismo. Just wanting to know what kind of jet should I run, and if there is something else I should do?? Like any little tricks you guys have??

Thanks, Kevin

Default Raptor Jetting Question??

With dyno jet jets I would go with a 146 and 148 main with the needles in the third clip, and 22.5 pilots, and take the lid off of your air box. With GYTR jets use a 160 and 165 main with needles in the third clip and 25 pilots. With your airbox lid off those jets should work pretty good for you.

Default Raptor Jetting Question??

the carb on the right takes the larger jet because it feeds 2 valves.

OK, so put the 22.5 pilots in both of them?

Default Raptor Jetting Question??

it's all trial and error, you will have to play around with several combos to get it just right for your bike and where you ride. here is a quick breakdown.

main jets are for 3/4 to wide open throttle but still affect overall outcome

needles are for 1/4 to 3/4 throttle but still affect overall outcome

pilots are mostly for idle to 1/4 but still affect overall outcome

Air fuel screws fine tune the overall mixture

There are several way to explain jetting, but the first rule is every bike is different and you will need to go up and down on all jetting combos to get the perfect #s for your bike.

but yes start with the pilots being the same in both carbs

Your bike came with 22.5 pilots stock in both carbs, you're going to want 25's.
