Default Yamaha Bruin 250 vs. Kazuma Cougar or Dingo

My husband I are looking to buy 2 ATVs. We have a Yamaha place here in town, but the price for 2 was over $8,000. I was looking on the internet to see if I could find a better deal and found the Kazumas. The dealers I talked to said they were comparable to the Honda ATVs, but I don't know of anyone who has owned one. Does anyone have any feedback on the dependability of the Kazuma and/or the Yamahas. They will be used mostly to ride in the woods. Thank you!

Buy the Yamaha's, out the door you should only pay 6000 for both. Yamaha has a special going now and you might get them cheaper, but 6000 OTD or walk away. Let the dealer know you are going to get the quads for 6000 grand. They can make some money or the guy in the next town will.

Why do you recommend the Yamaha over the Kazuma? What makes it better?

Why buy two new ones? My wife and I just bough two quads but we wanted to do it cheaply. I was going to buy a used one and get her a new one but would have still been to expensive.

After two weeks of looking at TONS of used quads...We paid $900 bucks for her 97 quadrunner 250 2X4 and 2094.00 OTD for my 98 Big Bear 350 4x4 from a dealer. We still have to buy the helmets but we both be on the trails with everything we needed for well under 4Gs.

Let me add one more thing. I personally don't trust these smaller ATV companies. I've dealt with Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki for years now and I'd rather have a used one than a new small brand.

Anyway...here is a pic of our two quads when I loaded them on the trailer tonight...Not bad for 3Gs!

our two new toys...

lastly...considering we won't ride these much...I'd hate to watch them sit AND depreciate in value right before my eyes.

my two cents.
