What type of riding were you doing. Did you check your coolant. It could be an electrical problem.

I have an 04 Griz and the light came on because the thermal switch was bad. There are two thermal switches one is up by the radiator and it turns your fan one. The second activates your overtemp light. It will cost about $30.00 and 15 minutes to change. The switch is located by your head and is easy enough to get to. If there are no other signs of your Grizz getting hot then it probably isn't and it will just be the switch that has gone bad. They are very fragile, do not drop or mishandle your new one.

I highly reccomend puting Engine Ice in place of your coolant. I use my Grizzly, actually my wifes Grizzly, to pull a disc and use the Swisher plow and bucket to clean up after the horses. The light used to come on because that is just a lot of work on the engine. Since I put Engine Ice in it the light doesn't come on any more. I wish i had a temp guage to see what the differance really is.

Don't take the radiator out. It is completely unnecessary. The thermal switch that controls the overtemp light is on the head. Follow the two little wires that looks like a bolt. I think it's a 12mm wrench that used to unscrew it. I have talked to a number of people on this forum with the exact same problem and it has always been the #1 thermal switch.

Engine Ice has been around for about 6 years I think. I can't remember what color it is though. I think it's red or purple. You use it straight and do not add water to it. It really does lower the temp of your motor. A guy on the Grizzly Owners Forum had just installed a temp guage on his Griz and was going to switch to EI but my server blocked that forum and I don't know how much it actually lowered the temp.
