Default POLARIS SPORTSMAN 400-USED PARTS

hey all, i bought my buddies used 400 sportsman and the engine is shot, but i was wondering if i was to sell it, how should i do it and what is it worth? it has rims but no tires, all plastic good, has everything but the motor is locked up.
should i sell it as a hole atv for one price
or
sell it part by part
just wondering, cause all i needed was the ignition and i got the hole wheeler for a good price. now i need to do something with it, what you all think on how i should sell it?

I would peice it out. Depending on the clutchs shape they usually go for around $100 to $150. I just sold a new take off primary clutch on ebay and it only brought $100.00 but thats the way it goes.

the plastic is green and is all there and isnt cracked anywhere.
i am taking off the clutch this Wednesday and will see what kind of shape it is in.
FUNNY THING: this weekend we went riding and i lost my key by sitting it on the trailer and driving off. i have no spare and didnt know what to do. so i called my buddy and he sold me the hole wheeler. i took that ignition and put it in mine. perfect fit with no problem. next trip is to get a copy made for it.

I'd recommend trying to eBay whatever you can off of it. And in your auctions, mention that you have a whole wheeler you are parting, people are bound to start asking for specific pieces. This would be pretty profitable if you paid very little for the quad to begin with.

i thought about getting the motor rebuilt and selling or just selling it by parts. not too sure on what to do yet.
