I recently purchased a .40 over wiseco piston and I was wondering if i needed to cut the valves to make it fit on a 1995 300ex.

 

well is it a high dome or a flat top and what came out of the bike if it is a high dome i would check with your local shop unless it came with a high dome piston in the bike and then you should be fine to put it in and go.

 

it should definatley be fine if its the right piston, idk if they even make high tops or flat tops for 4 strokes? any wiseco piston i have ever put in was fine,ad i have never heard of cutting valves.
