Hey Warrior - why is your subtitle "Best KFX in Rhode Island" if it's such a POS ?

ROFLMAO gonna buy a craptor huh haha and you think a KFX is unreliable ????? you better buy two of the craptors at the same time... You know, so you'll have a parts bike to fix the other one ? lol or right off the bat replace the tranny, axle, carrier, shocks, upper A-arms, steering stem, and hubs, then it should be pretty reliable, I've had both a Z400 and a Craptor and I'll never own a yamaha again. the Z400 was flawless after I gussetted it

Hate to hear that.
But I agree with these other guys that VERY few of these quads had problems. I beat mine pretty hard and so far not a thing has gone wrong other than basic loose bolts etc...
I know a lot of guys who race these things in Hare Scrambles, they leave the engine stock for reliability and they hold up amazingly well. One guy I rode with has an '03 with an estimated 200hrs and not one internal engine problem, not even a valve adjustment. Of course he said he chances the oil and filter every week, and uses only triple filtered 91-93 octane (in a cool filter he designed with automotive filters and a 5 gallon bucket).
I have heard of very sporadic problems through the grape-vine and Internet, not unlike yours, but they are very rare indeed.
Anyone thinking of buying one can't let the number of complaints on this quad influence them at all, since the number of units out there running around almost perfect is so high. Think about it, Suzuki sold enough z400 units in a few years to totally foot the bill for the new LT-R450. If the z400 had not been so good and sold so well, the R450 would still be a dream.
