How much Toe-in is too much on a Yamoto?

First off that is not toe. Toe is where the tires point foreward or back. You have too much camber. Thats where the tires slant in or out on the top. Too much camber should be fine for handleing but will put more stress on the upper and lower joints. Most atv's have the top camber pointing more out not in.

Sorry, it was an inside joke with us yamoto guys. We had a little too much fun this weekend, and finally broke the A-arms. Another $106 sunk into this one. Not bad for the first official breakage. Almost made it a year.

My kids and neighbors love to do jumps. Most of the time, it has been 2-3 footers, like small mounds in the desert. They do that for around 4 hours straight, 3 kids, one after another. I take a reclining folding chair, and sit there and watch them. So, the yamoto has around 2,000 jumps on it in 15 outings. The single a-arms of the yamoto rely on 2 welds to hold the spindle at the right angle. They just gave up after a year. I think the most damage came from him taking a 4 foot jump to show off for his friends. Other than that, I've had to replace a spark plug once.

Well I took off today to do the A-arm replacement. Finally got into the garage around 9:00am, and was done clenaing up at 9:45am. It was really fast on the left side, but the right side has some weld splatter that needed to be ground off. Took longer to put the stone in the dremel than it took to grind it off. Now I have to do yard work, since the job went so fast.
