Default 05 400ex

Hello everyone I was looking at an 05 400ex there is a dealer in my area clearing them out for $5399 OTD. So my question is is there any big difference between the 05 and 06? I looked on hondas site I dont really see a difference between the two. Another question is (I know this will come down to opinion) I can get an 06 KFX 400 for $5989 OTD. So what would you all do? I was thinking the Honda because of the price. But the KFX is very tempting.

The only difference is the 06's are available in black.

I just bought an 05 400ex. I chose the Honda over the Zuk because Honda's seem to be the best built (IMHO) and I'm tired of always fixing my kawasaki. True that Honda's might not be the fastest but they are the most dependable.

If you buy the 05 Honda get them to throw in some decient handlebars! The stock bars are terribly uncomfortable.

I dun know who designed their bends but they are horrid

I used to have a KFX400 and it just as dependable as a 400EX. I say forget the EX, it's all about the KFX/Z.

First off, both prices are way to high. Me and my GF payed $5200 for a 05' 400ex way before the 06's came out. And you should be able to get a KFX400 for around 5600-5700 bucks.

No, the 06 400ex did not recieve any significant changes.

The KFX400 is a little bit better performance wise, but the 400ex is a great trail machine as well and will lug down a little better. Both of them are very reliable.

Well those prices are the best I have been able to find here in california. Most places want close to $7000 for the KFX out the door.

i would get a kfx/z over an ex for that little price difference. they have better suspension and a little more power. i will tell you tho...you will not be disapointed with a 400ex either. i love mine even without reverse!!!

6.5% I think, but 5200 was before taxes.
